Then I realized they're all pretty much the same thing. Which is a good design choice in my opinion. It blends very well with the rest of the background and if it weren't constantly spewing fiery death while screaming at everything it'd probably be a very stealthy type of monster.
Your view and idea pretty much adds up to my original concept
